Yogi had his first Violin performance on Friday, he was so nervous!

He waited until the week before the performance to tell me, "Mom, my performance is next week and I don't know my part." So we sat down together a few times and figured out a few things that might help him be able to remember the notes and hand placements.

The performance came around and what do ya know, he did great! He messed up a couple times, but he is the only one who noticed. I am so very proud of him!! I hope he decides to play next year!!

We had our first annual "Christmas Caroling" gathering tonight!! It was a hit, can't wait til' next year!!

We did a gift exchange and went to see Christmas lights with my Aunt and Uncle tonight because they are gonna be gone for Christmas. She bought the boys something that was gonna be a big hint for something that we had at home under the tree, so they had to wait to open the gift from her! Not happy campers, but they will be Christmas morning!!

The boys and went to "Breakfast With Santa" at their school. We listened to the Honor Choir sing, had some breakfast, pic's with Santa and then the boys did some shopping in The Santa Store. All in all a fun time!

Santa had a genuine beard, lol. I think they could have done a little better in picking him, huh? If you look at the two different pictures you will notice how relaxed Yogi is, his arm around Santa's neck. Zion on the other hand, with his hand in his pocket thinking, "don't touch me", so funny!!

Zion's Academic Award

Zion received an Academic Award at school today! His teacher said he has really been trying to participate in class by answering questions and speaking up in groups, which is huge for him!!! She also said that as usual he is great about turning in things on time and he is a hard worker in class. I am one proud mommy right now!!

He is funny, they asked questions like, "did anyone receive this award because they turn assignments on time, work hard in the classroom or help others when they are finished?" Zion didn't raise his hand until they asked the last question, yet his teacher says he does all those things, lol He is so shy at school.

Visit with the Reed's

Yesterday Yogi,Zion and I went to Eagle Island to see Oliver Reed run in his cross country meet. He and his team won the meet and now are going nationals. Then Oliver and his boys came over for dinner and a movie. It was so nice to hang out with them, they have changed so much since we last saw them.
